“…Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1
When Jesus Christ died on the cross our old sinful ways died with Him. And as He rose from the grave to victory- so we rise to victory.
The story of Rahab is absolutely intriguing. From harlot to a woman of faith, God reveals to us just how much He cares for His children.
Her story is beautiful.
Her story is a mystery.
Her story is a picture of our Redeemer’s love.
Her story is precious.
While reading in Joshua Ch. 2, I come across the beautiful story of Rahab. What I find so amazing is what little we really know about her. We have no clue how she evolved, from what kind of family she came from or even how she got into the trouble she was in.
All we know is that she had great faith.
“We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.” Romans 3:22
I can only imagine what joy our Creator had when she was born- knowing her full potential in Him.
Knowing that from her line of descendants would soon come the Savior of the world.
I believe God wants us to fully let go of who we used to be- and hold onto Him fully. You see, with one hand we hold onto our Abba Father and with the other we hold onto our old dead selves.
It’s time to let go, it’s time to hold onto our Father with both hands, fully grasping His oaths and promises as an anchor to our souls.
“…I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.”
