“The bible tells us that God disciplines those He loves but in the church, we don’t really talk about it because people don’t want to hear that.”
Wes started serving God at 16 and wanted everyone to know the same grace that he had found. Him and his wife Vanessa lived in Seattle for most of their adult lives, but about 3 years into their marriage they both started to feel like they were supposed to move back to California. They didn’t know why or for what purpose, but a few years later they moved down to LA and after being back in SoCal for a few years, it became very evident they were supposed to lead a church.
Wes also is a children’s author and his recent book, You Are My Boy is full of inspiration: http://youaremyboy.com/
Wes Dunn, pastor of The House Los Angeles, shares the journey of leaving a full-time position to venture out to start a church in a city like LA. They talk about physical family, spiritual family, and what it means to allow God encounters to ignite our faith.
